  1. About Treetops Sanctuary

When you book accommodation with Treetops Sanctuary; a subsidiary of the Peg Family Trust, please understand this is a private residence made available for short term holiday accommodation. Treetops sanctuary is owned by Joanne and David Murphy of Clothes Peg station, Hughenden. In the Customer Terms of Service all instance of the wording referring to the “Property” or “Treetops Sanctuary” will be in reference to 626 seamark rd, Jaggan, QLD, 4885.

 

  1. Our Website
  • We take reasonable care in providing our website for booking accommodation at Treetops Sanctuary, but we can’t guarantee that everything on it is accurate (we have multiple booking agents who sync with our site). To the extent permitted by law, we can’t be held responsible for any errors, any interruptions, or any missing bits of information – although we will do everything we can to correct/fix them as soon as we can.
  • To make a Booking, you may need to create an Account. Please make sure all your info is correct and up to date, as these details will be used to contact you during your stay. You’re responsible for anything that happens with your Account, so please don’t let anyone else use it, and please keep your username and password secret.
  • Unless otherwise indicated, you need to be at least 16 years of age to use the Platform.
  • By placing a booking with Treetops Sanctuary, you are agreeing to our Customer Terms of Service
  1. Prices/Fees
  • When you make a Booking, you agree to pay the cost of accommodation and services, including any fees and taxes that may apply.
  • Obvious errors and misprints are not binding. For example: if you book for a night that was mistakenly offered for $1, we may simply cancel that Booking and refund anything you’ve paid.
  • A crossed-out date indicates that those dates are unavailable for booking. Should there be issue with platforms synchronising and a double booking is made we will endeavour to refund your booking as soon as possible.
  • A cleaning fee is included in the quoted booking price. There is also a security deposit at checkout. This is fully refunded 48 hours after checkout, conditional on guests adhering to our customer Service terms; no damages, additional cleaning or exceeded occupancy occurring during their stay.
  1. Payment
  • For all website bookings payment is processed with Paypal which accepts all major credit cards. You can sign up to Paypal for other payment methods including direct deposit from your bank.
  • If you have been invoiced there is the option of payment with Paypal or Bank Deposit. It can take up to 7 days to confirm direct debit payment. Your reservation will be held during this time.
  • We are not responsible for any fees you incur in processing payment, failure of payment or currency exchange.
  • All payments are required upfront. We do not take deposits for regular bookings.
  • If you know of or suspect any fraud or unauthorised use of your Payment Method, please contact your payment provider, who may cover any resulting charges, possibly minus an excess.
  • We do not store your payment method.

 

  1. Booking, refund and no-show terms and conditions
  • Name on the reservation must be the same as the credit cardholder’s name and same individual must check-in for the stay.
  • As the person making the Booking you are also responsible for obtaining permission from other people in your group before providing us with their personal data.
  • Any accommodation booking made on a ‘special’ or discounted tariff is made under special conditions that differ from standard tariffs.

For all standard tariffs/rates the following terms apply;

  • Full price of reservation and services are payable at the time of booking
  • Reservations can be amended or adjusted up until 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival
  • Should you wish to cancel your booking you must notify the host at least 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival.
  • If notice of your cancellation is received before 7 days to your scheduled arrival time, Treetops Sanctuary may issue full refund of reservation and service fees.
  • If notice of your cancellation is received within 7 days to your scheduled arrival time, Treetops Sanctuary may retain all monies paid.
  • Service fees including cleaning and breakfast will only be refunded if the Treetops Sanctuary is notified 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival.

Tariff Type: Special Rate (Retreats, weddings and long term stays)

  • 20% deposit is payable at the time of booking.
  • Total stay cost to be paid 4 weeks prior to arrival.
  • If you are unable to meet the deposit due dates, you must contact Treetop Sanctuary to make alternate arrangements. Failure to do so may result in your booking being cancelled and forfeiture of any money paid. We will make every attempt to assist you.
  • Offer cannot be combined with any other promotional offer and is not valid with any other discount.
  • Reservations can be amended or adjusted up until 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival

  1. Treetop Sanctuary Rules and Conditions of Entry
  • As a privately owned property Treetops Sanctuary is available for short term holiday rental. These guidelines are to ensure the respect and safety of all guests and staff.
  • Arrival / Departure: You are free to arrive anytime after 2pm on the day of booking.
  • You are required to communicate with the host regardless of whether or not self check-in is available. If you cannot be contacted, the host may attend the property to greet you. The host is available to contact via phone 24 hours a day should you need anything pertaining to your stay.
  • The home and surrounding property is to be vacated by 10am on day of departure. If you would like to make alternate arrangements, please discuss with your host prior to arrival or scheduled departure time.
  • The number of people on the property during your reservation should not exceed the number of people in your booking.
  • Speed Limit: All roads in the property are shared with livestock. They have a speed limit of 10km/h unless signposted otherwise.
  • Children: All children attending the property are the responsibility of their parent or guardian. All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult when exploring the garden and surrounded paddocks.
  • Bunk Beds: Children under 9 years of age should not use the top bunk. Children should also not play on the top bunk.
  • Rubbish: Wheelie bins are provided. Please only place bagged, domestic rubbish in the bins.
  • Fires: Fires are only permitted in the fireplace and designated outdoor firepit. Fires must be attended at all times when lit and extinguished appropriately when complete. Fires can only be lit in line with local fire services guidelines (i.e., not during a fire ban). Ask your host for more information.
  • Pets: Treetops Sanctuary is not suitable for pets. There is unique wildlife and livestock. Please contact your host for special requirements including service pets. (seeing eye dogs)
  • Smoking: Is not permitted in any accommodation or common areas.
  • Emergency: For any emergency cases relating to fire, police or ambulance please contact 000 (Australia). After Hours assistance by your host: Anita Krieg on 0429174656.
  • As the person making the Booking, you are responsible for the actions and behaviour of everyone in the group.
  • Unauthorised Activities: Antisocial behaviour, illegal drug use, excessive use of alcohol, undue mess anywhere on the property, unregistered vehicles, undue noise, acts of violence, smoking in accommodation, driving lessons and conducting business onsite are prohibited from occurring on the property. Failure to comply with any of the above, including any damage caused to the property may result in eviction from the property.
  • We work with local companies that provide experiences, dining and transport. We’re not a party to the terms between you and these service providers. The service provider is solely responsible for your experience.

 

7.Damage Policy

Please note that on booking this property for accommodation you agree to the following Damage Policy:

  • You must keep the property and its contents including all furniture, electronic equipment, fixtures, fittings and effects in, on or at the Property in the same state of repair as at the start of the stay and shall leave the property in the same state of cleanliness and general order in which it was found when you arrived.
  • You are also responsible for the safekeeping of the Property and its contents, therefore you must remember, among others, to lock all doors and windows, and ensure that the Property is safe upon your departure.
  • You will be responsible to reimburse Peg Family Trust (Treetops Sanctuary) for all damage(s), breakages or loss(es) caused to the Property by you and/or the rest of your guest(s). Damages will be taken from your security deposit and invoiced should they exceed this amount
  • Where any breakages, damage(s) or loss(es) occur, You should report it firsthand to the Property host or owner; as soon as reasonably practicable, but always before checkout.

To prevent any unnecessary damage occurring please note:

  • Furniture without felt protectors should – not be moved around as it may easily scratch the flooring. Indoor furniture should not be taken outdoors. Furnishings should be kept away from the fireplace at all times.
  • All types of pets are prohibited. If you have a service pet this must be discussed with your host prior to booking.
  • Should you be unfamiliar with any household appliance -please ask your host for instruction before using.
  • Turn off outdoor taps after use.
  • Do not overfill the spa or turn on without water.
  • Do not take the bath towels out of the house. Should you want towels for swimming at nearby lakes there are activity towels provided. You will be charged for any missing towels and linen. You will be charged for any damaged or stained towels and linen.
  • Self checkin is provided. If the house key is lost or taken we will charge guests for the cost of cutting new house keys.
  • We ask guests to not wear shoes inside the home. If there is any case of serious neglect. Eg. Muddy footprints on wool rugs in the bedrooms or red mud stains on bath towels. We will charge for them to be replaced.
  • Please lock up and close windows before departing the house. This will prevent rain and wildlife from getting into the house and causing damage.
  • A rural property -sometimes things can go amiss with the water supply. Let your host know as soon as possible so any problems can be rectified.
  • Occasionally a glass or plate is dropped and we understand that is a part of normal wear and tear. However please notify us, so we can replace these items.

 

  1. Communication
  • On placing a booking we require the guest to provide a mobile phone number and email. As the accommodation is usually self checkin, these are our primary modes of communication before, during and after your stay with us.
  • An email with be sent with information for self checkin.
  • We will call or text to confirm your arrival.
  • As a working farm there may be times that people are attending the property to move cattle ect. This will usually be communicated with guests prior to taking place.
